Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Suppot Assistant to support disadvantaged children with behavioural issues. You will assist other staff in creating and implementing risk assessment and you will identify and address the needs of pupils that require additional support. We are looking for somone with Team Teach, MAPA or equivalent training so that they can confidently and effectively deescalate challenging behaviour.
We are recriting for KS2 and 3 Pupil Referral Unit close to the centre of Wakefield. We need someone for a full time and long term role, with potential for it to turn into permanent employment. The school prides itself on making it's pupils as independent and as employable as possible and it rewards and promotes ambition and progression.
We are looking for someone:
- With a strong and resilient personality in what can be a very challenging role
- Who has the passion and desire to have a positive impact on a pupil with behavioural and emotional needs
- Who is able to work with a pupil 1:1 or in a group setting
- With Team Teach or MAPA equivalent
