Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioural Support Assistant at a school in the Trafford area. The pupils are aged 11-16 with SENs, primarily with ASC, BESD and MLD.

This role is temporary, but with a high possibility of becoming permanent if you settle into the job well.

Pay will start at GBP10 per hour, with working hours typically being from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Psychology, Counselling or other relevant degree (not essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience with SEN

Main responsibilties would involve:

• Intervening when pupils' behaviour requires attention
• Engaging students to ensure they stay on track with the curriculum
• Reporting back to the relevant parties to promote a high standard of care among staff
