TA’s & BSA’s Needed – Challenging Behaviour – Saltash – September 2020

  • Do you have experience with Sports Coaching or interested in supporting PE Lessons in schools including Outdoor Education?
  • Looking for a TA role supporting pupils with behavioural difficulties?
  • Do you have any experience of working with pupils with SEMH difficulties?

Our client schools are looking for Sport TA’s and Behaviour Support Assistants who have experience in working with children with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour. Both schools, based in the Saltash area, strive to create an environment where teamwork, support and friendship form the basis of our relationships. They value children as individuals and encourage their development as active, positive members of the school and their own communities. They are looking for a member of staff on a long term basis to work as a Sports TA in an alternative education class.

The pupils at this school do have very challenging behaviour and so any TAs who apply need to be able to manage verbal and physical aggression. You do not need to have experience of working within a SEN school however you do need to have experience of working in a school or setting with challenging children or adults. Having restraint training such as Team-Teach or MAPA is highly desirable for this role however this can be provided.

The type of person who usually gets on well at this school comes from one of the following backgrounds: forces, youth work, social work, sports, psychology.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
