Behaviour Support Assistant

Join an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury, supporting children and young people with additional learning needs who can show signs of challenging behaviour.

• Full time Behaviour Support Assistant.
• Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour aged 11-16.
• Must have some form of experience with children and young people or skills that can be transferred to work within the education sector..
• Earn up to GBP1500 per month.

This Behaviour Support role is the ideal opportunity to gain further experience working within a secondary school and enhance your knowledge of pupils with challenging behaviour. You will be expected to assist class teachers to positively impact the learning and development of students through a variety of responsibilities including;

• Leading small group sessions to pupils not making expected progress.
• Supporting the learning of SEN pupils or those with challenging behaviour.
• Working 1:1 with pupils who struggle to engage within the classroom.

Our client school is located in Bury and is easily accessible via public transport from the town centre as well as other surrounding areas such as Bolton, Rochdale and Prestwich. The school is also accessible via the M61 for those with their own transport.
