Teaching Personnel has been approached by a school in Burnley who are actively seeking a Teaching Assistant to help with behaviour support and engagement in education.
Full and part time candidates will be considered (minimum 3 days availability).
The school caters for 11-16-year olds who face social, emotional and behavioural challenges, many are diagnosed with SEMH or ASC. The school attempts to engage their students and unearth their uniqueness and, by doing so, support their educational and social / emotional needs.
The school aims to truly make a difference to the young people who is within this school and is looking for a candidate which is also passionate about encouraging and empowering the children. An ideal candidate should be confident, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to remain calm in every situation. Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour is preferred, but not essential.
The candidate must be able to work closely with individual students in order to cater to their unique needs and remove barriers to their learning.
The role is confirmed until Christmas but expected to carry on beyond the holiday.
The working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday-Friday.
Rate of pay will be dependent on experience and will start from GBP10 p/h

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
