Behaviour Support Assistant

A school in South Manchester is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team.

Working as part of the SEN Team, this position in February 2021.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, the role will focus on:

• Providing extended 1:1 support to students who struggle to keep to school’s polices on behaviour.
• Managing students who are ‘on report’ and being able to devise strategies that seek to improve these students performance and general academic attainment.
• Working with the wider support staff team in dealing with any pastoral issues that may arise, both within the classroom and across the school site.
• Working in collaboration with teaching staff to ensure that students are fully aware of the school’s stance when it comes to behavioural expectations.
• Providing specific SEMH support to all students who require it.
• Communicating with student’s parents whenever necessary, creating action plans both in the short and long term.
• Acting as a role model at all times, looking to motivate and inspire students to achieve to the best of their ability.
• Working within the SEN department, working with students with a range of specific SEN needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
