A school in South Manchester is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join the Support staff team on a Temporary basis.
With the reintegration of pupils taking place after a substantial amount of time off school, a Behaviour Support Assistant is required for an immediate start.
Requirements for this position:
- The individual must be educated to degree level (or hold qualifications within a support based capacity)
- It is essential that the required applicant has experience within the monitoring and management of children's behaviour.
- Being able to deal with potentially challenging/volatile behaviour.
We welcome applications from:
- Youth Workers.
- Care Workers.
- Tutors/Those who have experience within a support role previously.
Key highlights of this role include:
- Consistently managing behaviour as well as ensuring students are adhering to school policy at all times, both within the classroom and across the schol site.
- Ensuring students with SEN are effectively catered for, whilst ensuring that pupils are made aware of the expectations of the school with regards to behaviour.
- Working with teaching staff to identify pupils who require further support, as well as students who are being disruptive in lessons.
- Monitoring student isolation periods, for pupils who are not adhering to school policy.
- Providing feedback on student progress to senior leaders, school SENCO, students and parents whenever necessary.
- Working on a pastoral basis, ibeing able to act as a role model is imperative.

Pay: GBP275 - GBP350 per week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
