Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a 1:1 Support Assistant to work with a pupil in Year 3 who has ADHD, ASC and PDA. This role will initially be until October half term to see how the pupil gets on, however it has the potential to be longer. This is a particularly rewarding role and it's important the right person is placed with the pupil, we will be holding video interviews and will at some point be organising a meeting with the successful candidate and the pupil before September. The school you will be working in is situated in a residential area with access by public transport, there is also free roadside parking.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience working with pupils who have Autism and/or ADHD
• Classroom experience with KS2
• A motivated and positive attitude
• Excellent organisational skills
• Resilience and patience with the ability to de-escalate situations quickly
• A strong knowledge of Special Educational Needs and the ability to understand and sympathise with the pupil's needs and difficulties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
