Behaviour Support Assistant

Blackley Primary School – Immediate Start

A welcoming primary school in Blackley is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a KS2 child who requires additional guidance to remain engaged, regulated, and successful in the classroom.

We are recruiting on behalf of the school, who are looking for someone calm, resilient and confident in supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs.

About the Role

• Supporting a KS2 pupil on a one‑to‑one basis throughout the school day
• Implementing behaviour strategies and de‑escalation techniques
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo
• Encouraging positive choices, engagement and emotional regulation

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management or as a Support Worker supporting challenging behaviours
• Previous classroom experience is essential
• Relevant TA or SEND qualifications are advantageous
• Someone patient, consistent and able to build strong relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
