Teaching Personnel are currently working with a client school in Newcastle/ Northumberland to recruit a passionate Behaviour Support Assistant to work alongside children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. This is an incredibly rewarding role, set to commence September, so we recommend anyone interested to apply with urgency. The role will involve working with children and young people who can often display challenging behaviours and therefore demands someone with appropriate experience with SEMH or mental health generally.

You will be working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour such as:

-          Anxiety

-          Exclusion

-          Speech and language difficulties

-          A disengagement with the classroom and learning

-          Withdrawn attitudes

-          Frustrated, angry and aggressive tempers

-          Truancy

Teaching Personnel can offer Behaviour Support Assistant’s competitive pay rates of up to £310 per week, as well as providing you with access to unique CPD opportunities to increase your qualifications. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
