Behaviour Support Assistant.
Caerphilly.

Salary: Starting at£78 daily rate (competitive rate of pay).
Shifts:
Monday to Friday – 08:30am-15:30pm.
Term time only.

A lovely secondary school in the Caerphilly area are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. This person will be responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with behavioural needs.

About the role:

  • Assisting a pupil with behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • Helping the pupil with literacy, numeracy and basic skills.
  • Keeping the pupil on track with their concentration.
  • Intervening when the pupil is triggered and behaving badly.
  • Looking after the pupils emotional wellbeing.

About you: 

  • Personal or professional experience assisting with behavioural needs.
  • An understanding of special needs.
  • Experience working with Autism, ADHD and emotional needs (desirable).
  • Able to commit to a full-time role.
  • Passionate about making a difference.
  • Firm but fair nature.

This role is due to start in October until August 2024. The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will be able to hit the ground running and make a positive impact on the pupils school life. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and fast paced school where training sessions will be provided throughout the academic year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
