Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bolton from September 2026. This is a full-time role supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional support to access learning effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs
- Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies and individual support plans
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO and pastoral teams
- Help create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
- Support students in developing social, emotional and self-regulation skills
- Manage challenging behaviour in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with young people (school, youth work, care, or similar)
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships
- Team player with good communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
