Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school? We are working closely with a number of well-established schools across Oldham who are looking to appoint dedicated Teaching Assistants for full-time, part-time and permanent positions, with immediate starts available as well as roles for the upcoming academic year.
These opportunities are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in their education and making a genuine difference in the classroom. Schools are particularly keen to hear from candidates with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience, including those who have supported students with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or social, emotional and mental health needs. You will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their potential.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, working one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional support, and assisting with behaviour management to ensure a positive learning environment. You will need to be proactive, adaptable and confident in building strong relationships with both students and staff. A calm, patient approach and the ability to tailor your support to individual needs is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
