Teaching Assistant

Schools are particularly keen to hear from candidates with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience, including those who have supported students with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or social, emotional and mental health needs. You will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their potential.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, working one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional support, and assisting with behaviour management to ensure a positive learning environment. You will need to be proactive, adaptable and confident in building strong relationships with both students and staff. A calm, patient approach and the ability to tailor your support to individual needs is essential.
