Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Bolton (Deane) BL3

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a behaviour support teaching assistant on behalf of a school located in the Deane area of Bolton.

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will spend time delivering sessions to small groups and working 1:1 with certain pupils.

The school wish to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant who meet the below criteria;

  • Must have worked within primary education/have transferable skills related to supporting pupils aged 5-11
  • Be confident and able to adapt to support pupils within all subject areas
  • Be able to build positive working relationships with pupils who display challenging behaviour and help them engage within lessons.
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with special educational needs is advantageous but not essential

If you have previous experience supporting pupils either directly within a primary school environment or within a youth work capacity, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

  • Full time behaviour support teaching assistant – Primary school
  • Starting April 2023 until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity of becoming a permanent member of staff
  • Supporting the learning and engagement of pupils within classes
  • Acting as a role model to ensure pupils are motivated to stay on task in lessons and within school

About the School:

The school has on-site parking and is easily accessible to those using public transport as it is situated just outside of Bolton Town Centre, which bus routes from Bolton interchange and most of Bolton run through.

The school a large 2-from entry and has 450 mixed gender pupils, with a large population of SEN including Autism, EAL and SEMH. The school has an Ofsted rated of ‘Outstanding’ in 2017 and is a Church of England School. The school’s mission is to provide a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment where all children recognise and achieve their fullest potential. They are well equipped to meet the challenges of education, work and life. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
