Behaviour Support Assistant - Chorley - Youth Work

Are you currently looking for a new role within support work and behaviour management?

If so, Teaching Personnel want to hear from youth workers, counsellors, sport coaches and support workers, who may be wanting to start a career in education.

The Deputy of a Secondary School in Chorley is looking for additional support for behaviour in school; this is due to a gap in staffing as the intake of students for the new academic year has been considerably higher.

Roles and responsibilities involved in this role may include:

  • Supporting students in small groups who display challenging behaviour and therefore, require more focused attention to progress academically.
  • Providing guidance and support inside and outside the classroom for pupils who have behavioural difficulties.
  • Working alongside senior teachers and reporting pupils' progress back to them on a regular progress.
  • Developing and delivering interventions for students at various levels of learning ability

The school is based in Chorley, with public transport links, such as the train station, extremely nearby.

  • Full-time Behaviour Support Assistant role available from September 2019 until the end of the academic year, with the hopes of this being extended, depending on performance.
  • Experience with challenging behaviour is desirable however, our client school does provide excellent behaviour management therefore this is not desirable.
  • Earn up to £450 per week, depending on experience.
  • Supporting students aged 11-16.
