Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Support Assistant (Full-Time) - Plymouth

Position Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor Support Assistant, you will be an essential support figure in the classroom, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is a full-time position in Plymouth, and you will play a key role in enhancing the behavioural well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement behaviour intervention strategies aligned with the school's behaviour management plan.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
• Work in tandem with teachers, parents, and external specialists to develop and implement personalized behaviour support plans.
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to support strategies as needed for academic and behavioural success.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of social-emotional learning programs.
• Actively participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and collaborating with teaching professionals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a school setting, providing support for students with behavioural challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a teaching team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' well-being.
• Relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field is desirable.
• Up to date DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to complete a new one)
