Behaviour Mentor – SEMH
Location: Easton, BS5
Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: £11.85 per hour
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of Bristol's most vulnerable teenagers?
We are currently recruiting dedicated individuals to join a trauma-informed team as full-time Behaviour Mentors. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing pastoral support and alternative learning support tailored to the unique needs of each student. Many of these students have experienced trauma and may exhibit challenging behaviour, requiring empathetic and skilled support to help them navigate their emotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist 1:1 or with groups of learners in academic projects within the classroom
- Provide social support to students around their peers
- Guide students in regulating difficult emotions and developing effective coping mechanisms
- Primarily focus on mentoring and managing behaviour throughout the school day
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in mental health support, healthcare, or support work backgrounds is highly valued
- Candidates with volunteering experience showcasing transferrable skills are encouraged to apply
- While experience in schools is beneficial, it is not essential for this role
- If you drive, this would also be beneficial as an element of your role could be supporting students on outings and assisting their travel to and from school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
