Behaviour mentor required for Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) near Crofton Park.

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of young people with challenging behaviour?

Can you support students in academic lessons as well as their social and emotional development?

I am looking for someone who is passionate about working with teenagers with challenging behaviour, who have struggled to cope in mainstream education. A lot of the students have very difficult home lives, and this is evident in their every day behaviour at school. They require guidance and strong role models to help them during this pivotal time in their lives.

The role available:

• You must be able to register with the agency immediately - the school are trialling potential candidates during the first two weeks back in September
• You will be working with a key stage 4 class of mostly male students aged 15-16
• Support in English, Maths and Science lessons
• Support sessions based on social development and life skills
• Promote positive behaviour and provide guidance and advice
• Work full time (08:30am - 15:30pm) Monday to Friday, term time only
