Behaviour Mentor needed immediately for secondary school in Leigh
*Behaviour Mentor required to support identified pupils
*Working across all year groups to improve engagement in lessons
*Specifically working with Year 11 pupils to improve focus and motivation ahead of the GCSEs
Teaching Personnel have been approached by our partner school located in Leigh to source the support of a Behaviour Mentor. This is a full time position required to start after Easter.
Due to the strong pastoral focus of the Inclusion team at the school, the Deputy Head teacher wishes to source the additional support of a Behaviour Mentor to help improve the focus of identified pupils ahead of the upcoming exam period. This is an exciting position for someone with a background working with challenging behaviour to make a huge difference to pupil's lives at this pivotal stage in the school year.
Our partner school has a large inclusion unit where pupils can be based to improve their focus as opposed to being in full classes. Your role as a Behaviour Mentor will be to ensure pupils stay on task within the inclusion unit and during lessons. As a result the school are seeking a confident and engaging Behaviour Mentor who can use their personality to build rapport with pupils quickly whilst maintaining a strong sense of discipline.
The school is located on the outskirts of Leigh which makes it easily accessible from the areas of Hindley and Atherton . There are also direct public transport links from Leigh town centre.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
