Supply Teacher (KS1 & KS2) — Durham Area

Employer: Teaching Personnel
Location: Durham and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible supply work (full‑time, part‑time, day‑to‑day, or long‑term)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive daily rates (paid weekly)


About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable KS1 and KS2 Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in the Durham area. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy varied work, want to broaden their experience across different settings, or are looking for a more flexible work–life balance.

As a supply teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Adapt to different school cultures and routines
  • Provide feedback to the school at the end of each day
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times

Access to your own vehicle is ideal due to the need to travel between schools.


Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✅ Experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2
✅ A flexible, positive, and proactive attitude
✅ Strong classroom management skills
✅ Good communication and organisational abilities
✅ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Access to your own vehicle (preferred but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
