Are you a confident, resilient and patient graduate looking for a rewarding Behaviour Mentor role within a school?

Do you want to apply for teacher training but feel that you need some additional classroom experience first?

Do you have aspirations of becoming an Educational Psychologist in the future but need to build up experience of working with vulnerable children/young adults first?

Whatever the motivation, if you have the ability to inspire others and are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children, we would love to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Graduate Behaviour Mentors to work with schools in Rusholme and partner schools in the surrounding areas. You must be educated to degree level and have a patient personality, a positive outlook and a desire to give children the best possible start on their educational journey!

Do you have a degree and experience in any of the following?

  • Youth Work
  • Sports Coaching
  • Ex-Army
  • Music Production
  • The Arts
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Youth offending

A Graduate Behaviour Mentor is a tailored intervention role that benefits the mainstream and SEN schools we work with. It has been designed to help pupils with behavioural problems to reach their full potential. As a behaviour mentor, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to. A Behaviour Mentor works on a full-time basis supporting student behaviour and learning inside and outside of the class. This is primarily a class-based position however it is very likely you will also deliver 1:1 intervention sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of student behaviour and learning. This is the perfect opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor to gain vital school experience!
