Behaviour Mentor
Job description
A specialist SEN primary school in Crawley is recruiting for Behaviour Mentors to work with children with a range of complex needs, including autism, global developmental delay, and sensory impairments. Many pupils also require emotional and behavioural support to manage transitions and daily routines.
The Role:

Support pupils in class, in therapy sessions, and during play
-
Use behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies effectively
-
Foster strong relationships to help build trust and emotional safety

Help develop communication through visuals, Makaton or AAC tools
The Ideal Candidate:

Background in SEN, primary education, care work or early years
-
Knowledge of positive behaviour support and communication strategies
-
Ability to remain calm and nurturing under pressure
-
Passionate about inclusion and supporting children with complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
