Behaviour mentor, year 6 class - Feltham, Hounslow - full time - immediate start - GBP60 to GBP80 per day

At Teaching Personnel we are currently working closely with a three form entry school, they are looking for a full time behaviour mentor to work with a group of students within a year 6 class. The school is based in the heart of Feltham, easily accessible by a number of bus and train services. 

The role?

This full time position will involve working with a group of year 6 students, ensuring they are following the schools behaviour policies. It will include taking students out of the class to resolve problems and aid any issues that may arise. The group you will be working with have a history of group based issues, including bullying and being disruptive within the class. Alongside the students you will be working with their families to help provide them with solutions and ideas to continue through to their home life, trying to create continuity between home and school life. 

The school?

The three form entry school has recently ungone drastic changes, amulgamating their infant and junior schools. This has seen a great renovation in their approach to learning and creating a stable learning environment for all students. Both schools previously received good Ofsted ratings, combining the great aspects of both schools to benefit all students. They have a vast special educational needs department that works closely with students with complex needs with autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour. 

Ideal candidate?

- Proactive and positive within the classroom

- Able to ensure strong behaviour management techniques whilst also building relationships with the students 

- Strong communicator between the school and family settings

- Available for an immediate start

The school is located close to Feltham station, a 15 minute walk or connected by multiple bus services including the H25.
