Behaviour Mentor, Camden

Schools in Camden are currently recruiting for dedicated Youth and Behaviour Mentors.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will be guiding children through specialist interventions designed to help them reach their full potential. This is to ensure that these children remain in mainstream education instead of being referred to Alternative Provisions, Pupil Referral Units (PRU) and SEND Schools.

In this role you will be working one-to-one with children with Challenging Behaviour and Social & Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will also be acting as a role model for a child who does not currently have someone to look up to.

Shortlisting criteria for these roles are as follows:

• Experience working within Mainstream Primary schools, PRU, Alternative Provisions and/or SEND Schools
• A background in Sport coaching or Youth work is desirable
• Experience working with SEN, Challenging Behaviour and/or SEMH
• A Passion for helping children to reach their full potential

Further Requirements:

• You must be able to Interview and Trial for Longer Term Positions
• You must also be in possession of a Child Workforce DBS (registered on the Update Service) or be willing to apply for one
