Behaviour & Learning Mentor – Perfect for Psychology Graduates & Students

Location: Cardiff
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time / Term-Time Only

About the Role

We’re seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join our supportive school team.
As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you’ll work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral leaders to support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and learning.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience for careers in:

  • Educational or Clinical Psychology

  • Counselling & Therapy

  • Teaching & SEN Support

  • Youth & Social Work

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support for students with emotional, behavioural, or learning needs

  • Assisting with the implementation of behaviour support plans

  • Supporting students with focus, motivation, and emotional regulation

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support pupil progress

What We’re Looking For

  • A Psychology degree or currently studying psychology (or a related subject)

  • A genuine interest in child development, mental health, or education

  • Excellent communication and empathy skills

  • A reliable, patient, and adaptable approach

  • Experience working with children (advantageous but not essential – full training provided!)
