Job description

Step outside of the classroom, but continue with your passion of supporting young people, with 1:1 outreach tuition.

We are recruiting for educators in Bedford, and surrounding areas, to work with KS3 learners in English and Maths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured, curriculum-aligned tuition in GCSE English and Maths on a 1:1 basis
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs, including those with SEN, SEMH, or barriers to learning
  • Monitor progress, provide regular feedback, and complete session reports
  • Maintain professional standards in safeguarding, behaviour management, and confidentiality

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent tutoring/mentoring experience
  • Proven subject knowledge in GCSE English and Maths
  • Experience working with vulnerable or disengaged learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills

What We Offer

  • Highly competitive hourly pay, of up to £30 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
