Pay Rate: £77-87 per day!

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)

Position: Temporary, full-time

Teaching Personnel are searching for Learning Support Assistants to work in the Barry area. We are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School based in the town centre with great public transport links. As part of this position you will be working within the foundation phase and providing support to students with additional learning needs.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage positive behaviour.
• Record progress and liaise with parents and guardians.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment in which pupils can thrive.
• Monitor behaviour and take action where necessary.

Whilst this position is temporary, if the applicant performs to a high standard, then they may be considered for a contracted position.

The ideal applicant will be proactive and have a calm nurturing presence. They will also be able to confidently support students who present emotional and behavioural difficulties and be comfortable using de-escalation tactics.

Essential Criteria:

• Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the update service.
• Registration with the EWC
• Previous experience supporting children in a professional or personal capacity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
