I am currently working with a large SEN school for pupils with profound, severe and complex needs in a semi-rural setting. Pupils at the school are aged between 2-19 years. The school are committed to pupils and families to deliver personal and academic progress for each individual whilst they are at school. This is a vibrant, positive school full of energy and is a fun place to work and learn. A fully inclusive school, pupils are taught by a specialist team of teachers and support staff.
The school are looking for robust and diverse TA's who have the flexibility to move between SEN requirements such as PD and SEMH across all age groups on a bank staff basis. In addition to classroom based support you will also be required to engage with pupils off-site as well; this includes swimming lessons, trips to the local farm and school outings. One of the most fundamental aspects of working in this school will be the ability to assist with and provide personal care (toileting).
Ideal candidates will:
- Assisting students with their educational and social development, on an individual and group basis
- Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
- Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration
- Work together with families and other agencies to ensure every pupil is valued, challenged and supported
- Have the highest expectation that every pupil will make sustained academic and personal progress
- Must be comfortable with personal care (toileting)
- Moving and Handling (incl. Hoists) beneficial but not essential
- Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children

- Supply Bank Staff - Hours 08:45am - 15:30pm

- Daily rate from £57 - 60 (depending on experience)
