ASC Support Teaching Assistant (KS1) in Blackpool
Location: Blackpool, Lancashire
Hours: Full-time / Part-time options available
Setting: Primary School – Key Stage 1

About the Role
We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with ASC in a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Blackpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young learner build confidence, develop key skills, and thrive both socially and academically.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing consistent 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
- Delivering creative, play-based activities that encourage engagement and development
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt resources and strategies
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
- Creating a calm, safe, and positive learning environment
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children with SEN/ASC (or a strong willingness to learn)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
