We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants with Experience in Autism and other associated learning needs.
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a class teacher to assist the children with teaching all subjects including social skills and life skills. You will be working in a positive learning environment, giving students the opportunity to learn and excel through the implementation of their individual learning plan. Each pupil will learn in a different way, and you must have the flexibility to support this. In addition, you will be required to manage behaviours and promote positive behaviours within the class.
The Ideal Candidate:
- You must have previous experience supporting children with Autism
- You must have an understanding of Autism
- Be confident and resilient
- Caring and Nurturing
- Flexibility to work with different ages and needs, as required
