A mainstream primary school in Leyton is seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with Autism to meet their academic and social potential.

This Autism Learning Support Assistant vacancy will see you working with a pupil with Autism, whilst working closely with class teachers and liaising with the school's SENCO to create individual learning plans for the child to monitor their progress throughout the year.

It is important for the school that they meet a graduate with strong numeracy and literacy skills; who has previous experience, voluntary or paid, working with children who have Special Educational Needs. The ideal individual for this SEN Teaching Assistant role will be a resilient and friendly graduate who can build a great rapport with children.

This supportive, forward-thinking primary school is located in Leyton, a short bus journey from Leyton Station (central line).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
