Autism Cover Supervisor
Job description
About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Autism Cover Supervisor to join a well-established school in Bournemouth, offering full-time support for students aged 3 to 18 years.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who have special educational needs (SEN), particularly those on the autism spectrum, providing crucial support in a positive and structured learning environment. The working hours are from 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, providing a stable work schedule with great opportunities for personal and professional growth.
In this role, you will be expected to deliver cover supervision in classrooms, helping to facilitate learning and ensuring students stay engaged and focused on their tasks. You will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed in their learning, contributing to an inclusive educational environment.
A Supportive and Inclusive Environment
The school in question is renowned for its inclusive approach to education. With a dedicated team and a supportive learning environment, it places a strong emphasis on the individual needs of each student. You will play a key role in maintaining this positive, caring, and nurturing atmosphere that allows students to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Working with students with autism presents both challenges and rewards. You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in their lives by offering tailored support that enables them to feel understood and included within the school community.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in working with students with SEN, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
