Autism Classroom Support Assistant

Autism classroom support teaching assistant. 

Opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team supporting secondary school and post 16 children who have been diagnosed with mild to moderate autism.

I am working with a special needs school based in Romford that caters solely for children who are on the autistic spectrum. They are looking for a teaching assistant to join their team after the October half term on a full time basis. You will work term time only, and the hours are 08:30am – 15:30pm.

This role would suit you if you have any of the following:

• Experience working with children or adults who have autism
• Psychology degree
• Mental health background
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment
• Full time availability to work as a teaching assistant in Romford. 

This school can offer:

• Small class size – there is a maximum of 6 students in the class at all times
• You will be entitled to attend all CPD training sessions with the full staff body

• GBP60-GBP90 per day, dependent on experience
