A large multi-trust secondary school in Oldham are looking to appoint an Attendance Officer to start in September 2019 until July 2019. This is a full time position (Monday - Friday 8.30 - 3.30pm) and will involve working term time holidays.
As an attendance officer your role will involve: Monitoring attendance across the school, including absences and punctuality and Identifying students who require additional support in relation to their attendance or timekeeping.
The trust are currently looking for individuals who have experience dealing with pupils who may not be attending school for whatever reason. As a part of this role you may be required to undertake home visits and work directly with hard to reach families.
To be considered for this position you should have:
- The ability to take a non judgemental approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with hard to reach young people and their families
- The ability to record and monitor pupils attendance
