An Ofsted rated GOOD secondary school in Keynsham, Bristol, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Associate Assistant Principal of Science to join their permanent staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a significant impact on the school's science department and contribute to the continued success and improvement of the school.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a robust curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Support and mentor Science teachers to enhance their professional practice.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies for improvement where necessary.
- Contribute to whole school leadership and management as a key member of the senior leadership team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student learning and well-being.
- Promote and develop STEM initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant Science discipline.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrable track record of improving student outcomes in Science.
- Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage change effectively.
- Experience in developing and leading STEM initiatives is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
