Assistant head of Maths

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a secondary school in Fleet to help provide them with a Assistant Head of Maths. The correct candidate will need to be able to aid the head of department in the day to day running of the department. This is a permanent position to begin in the new academic year.

You would need to be an outstanding teacher of Maths ready to showcase and lead by example to the other members of the faculty, sharing high quality resources, best practice and making cross curriculum links with other faculties. You would also be expected to undertake the normal responsibilities of a teacher of Maths throughout this role.

The school is a successful secondary school in Fleet who have very academically minded students and who do not struggle particularly with behaviour, the students main concerns are achieving the highest possible results with the majority of students achieving well above the national average. The school performed last year with over 60% of students achieving grade 5+ in both English and Maths, and as a successful candidate for this position you would be expected to help students to achieve and push forward in their learning stretching and guiding their learning to allow them to excel.
