ASC Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs)

In partner with a Primary school in Basildon Essex, we are seeking several Teaching Assistants to work with pupils from EYFS – KS2. You will be appointed as a 1:1 teaching assistant to SEN pupils who needs range from low functioning (Non-Verbal, Severe Learning Difficulties) to high functioning (Verbal, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Asperger’s Syndrome).

This particular role would be great for existing SEN Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, Graduates or Students (Art, Psychology, Education, Sociology, Sport and more), Ex-Military or Police, Youth Workers, Sports Coaches, Behaviour Mentors, 1:1 Teaching Assistants.

Expect to be managing challenging behaviour on a day-to-day basis; You will be supported by all staff at the school and will work from 8:30am until 3.30pm on a full-time basis. The role is available immediately, so ideally you will be able to start ASAP but this is not essential. Working through Teaching Personnel means that you will work at the school on a long-term temporary basis, with the opportunity to gain a permanent contract at the school.
