ASC Teaching Assistant

- Do you have previous experience of supporting children with ASC, either professionally or personally?
- Do you have Team-Teach training?
- Would you like to work for an agency who can offer you a range of CPD such as Team-Teach, Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, and Ruth Read Write Inc. phonics?
We have had a request from one of our client schools for a Teaching Assistant to work in an ASC Nurture Base attached to a mainstream school. The base caters for 14 children with Autism and the school are looking for someone who has relevant experience of supporting pupils with ASC.
The school is located in Sefton and is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, who state that:
"Pupils with special educational needs make good progress because their needs are accurately identified. They are well supported and their achievement is closely monitored. The school is effective in ensuring equality of opportunity so that all groups of pupils make good progress"
For this particular role, it is essential that you have Team-Teach training and experience of implementing it within a school.
The post is covering a member of staff who is undertaking Teacher Training and so the position may be available on a permanent basis if the placement is successful.
