ASC Teaching Assistant required on a full-time basis from September 2019.
Teaching Personnel are working with a client secondary school located in the Hindley area of Wigan that are currently seeking to bolster their team of support staff ahead of the new academic year starting in September 2019.
- Full-time ASC Teaching Assistant supporting students with Autism
- Competitive pay with expected earnings of around £1200 per month.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism is essential.
- September 2019 start date with 12 month employment.
As an ASC Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with the schools SEND team to support students with ASC that are based in the Autism Resource Provision transition to the mainstream school environment. You will join a large team of Learning Support Assistants but you will work closely with the ASC team providing pastoral and emotional support within this division specifically with students on the Autism Spectrum.

- Monitoring behaviour and attainment levels and supporting the class teacher when needed.
- Ensuring that students are able to make steady academic progression within school
- Identifying and defusing stressful situations before they occur.
Our client Secondary school is slightly larger than the national average with approximately 900 pupils on roll. Located between Hindley and Westhoughton, the school is just a short drive away from the A577 and has an abundance of public transportation links to surrounding areas; Bolton, Salford and Wigan.
For immediate consideration then please submit an up to date CV via the contact details below or contact the Manchester West Secondary Branch on 0161 242 1799.
