ASC Secondary History Teacher Required in Peterborough

Exciting new career opportunities have become available to Secondary History Teachers with either mainstream or SEN experience in the Peterborough area. The school are looking to appoint a new History teacher to work with secondary students in small class sizes of up to 8 children. The lessons will be taught in small groups and you will be responsible for working with children who have Autism Spectrum Condition and could show challenging behaviour so you should be willing to work within this environment. This is a brilliant school with outstanding facilities. They have recently been rated as 'Good' by Ofsted, making it a fantastic school for both students and staff.

The role includes:

  • Being responsible for the attainment and progress of all your pupils
  • Contributing to the overall intellectual, emotional and social development pupils
  • Keeping up with the National Curriculum and a variety of other curriculum pathways

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT) or be an Unqualified Teacher with previous Secondary experience
  • Previous SEN experience preferably with ASC, if not you must have a desire to work in SEN.
  • Enthusiastic and engaging personality

*Available to start immediately or in September for the new academic year*

Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness are desirable but not required.

You are required to have an updated DBS check prior to starting, if you do not have this then we can process one for you as we are an authorised counter signatory.
