Art teaching post in Blackpool

I am working on behalf of a mainstream secondary school in the Blackpool area who are seeking an Art Teacher ASAP to step in and cover the absence of one of their Art & Design Teachers on a long term basis. The absence was un-expected and the school have advised that they are seeking someone for the foreseeable.

The role is 5 days a week, Monday - Thursday and the working hours are from 8.30am - 3:15pm. The school can offer a Dedicated Art Studio and other excellent facilities. You will be responsible for teaching KS3/4 Art and Design lessons as a sole Teacher of Art within the school.

The school is larger than average with around 1000 students on roll and is situated close to the Poulton area of Blackpool. It has excellent surrounding public transport links Inc. bus routes/ Train Station and also has on site parking facilities. Behaviour of the students can be somewhat challenging, however it mainly consists of low level disruption but the school would like an Art Teacher with good classroom management skills.

The successful Art Teacher MUST have:

- Valid UK PGCE in Art and Design (ideally)

- Recent experience of teaching KS3/4 Art

- The ability to plan and deliver high quality Art lesson

- Good classroom management skills

- Commitment to a long term teaching role

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
