Join a secondary academy in Bury known for its strong and unique behaviour policies alongside a recent climb in performance tables.

  • Full-time Art and Design Teacher.
  • Required from September 2021 for the full academic year.
  • Must hold specific subject qualifications in Art and Design.
  • Teaching a full time table across Key Stage 3 and GCSE alongside full planning and marking responsibilities.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Art and Design teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP25,714 - GBP41,604 per annum).

Working as an Art and Design Teacher in our client school will involve a variety of roles and responsibilities. The successful teacher will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver Art and Design lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning.

You will be expected to assess and evaluate class work, reporting progress in order to take appropriate action to support low attaining pupils in meeting their aims and objectives. It will be the teacher’s responsibility to promote positive behaviour management skills alongside implementing strategies to guide these pupils.

Our client school is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A58 from surrounding areas such as Rochdale and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from neighbouring areas such as Worsley, Rossendale and Prestwich.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
