Are you passionate about creativity and supporting young artists? A Good-rated Ofsted secondary school in Wirral is seeking an experienced Art & Design Technician to join their dynamic department and help inspire the next generation of designers.

About the Role

As an Art & Design Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the department. You’ll work closely with teachers and students, providing technical support, maintaining equipment, and preparing materials for lessons and projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in art and design who enjoys working in a collaborative and creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise materials and resources for practical lessons.
  • Maintain and manage art equipment, tools, and stock.
  • Support teachers and students during practical sessions.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met in all activities.
  • Assist with displays and exhibitions of student work.

  • Previous experience in an art and design environment (school or industry).
  • Strong practical skills across a range of art mediums and techniques.
