Design and Technology Teacher

Location: Wirral


About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology teacher to join a secondary school in the Wirral area. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in creative and practical learning, while supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to secondary school students.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and SEN coordinators to provide tailored support.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.
  • Understanding of SEN and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
