Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a recent Psychology Graduate to join one of our client schools in Manchester as a Teaching Assistant, supporting young people with autism.
This position will require you to apply the theoretical psychology that you have learnt throughout the course of your degree. You should have a good understanding of autism and how it can impact children in their development, specifically within a school environment. You should have a good understanding of the behavioural traits that can be displayed by young people with autism and be able to target their learning requirements by building supportive relationships with them. You will typically work on a one-to-one basis with students. Many of the pupils that you will be working with will have Education, Health, and Care plans (EHCPs) and you will be responsible for assisting them with this.
This position will be full time, starting in September at the start of the academic year. The salary for this position will be between £420 and £450 dependent on the requirements from the school.
For this position, you must be able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, you must also provide at least two employment-based references, covering the last two years of your work history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
