Alternative Provision Practitioner - South Wales

Are you a passionate Youth Worker? If so, then our South Wales are in great need of support staff with your expertise! I work with a selection of educational environments around the Newport & Cardiff areas that recruit youth workers who can provide general, small group and one-to-one assistance. Often our roles are full-time and longer term because of the nature of support required and this is especially true when working with special educational needs. Further to this, the appointed Youth Work Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, which is great experience of classroom and behaviour management. Due to some of the students displaying challenging behaviour, the role will also involve working closely with pupils who have been withdrawn from lessons.

Located near to the M4motorway, our partner school is accessible from Cardiff. The school have expressed that the appointed Teaching Assistant has previous experience of working with students aged 11 - 16 who display challenging behaviour. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
