ALN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Barry.
No Previous School Experience Required
If you have experience with children through personal life, care work, sports coaching, or youth activities, we’d love to hear from you. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 classroom support to a pupil throughout the school day
✨ Creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
Building strong relationships with pupils to boost confidence and engagement
Delivering clear and encouraging feedback
️ Supporting child-led learning activities
⏳ Assisting pupils with additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, and others
Supporting with behaviour management when required
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have a positive, patient, and energetic approach
Be open and inclusive when supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs
Have a genuine passion for helping children succeed
Be motivated to support and enhance children’s learning experiences
Feel confident working in a primary school environment
Be eager to develop their skills within education
What Teaching Personnel Can Offer:
Competitive weekly pay of £13.75 per hour (PAYE)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
