Agricultural Teaching Assistant Wanted in Exeter

Teaching Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic Agricultural Teaching Assistant in Exeter to support engaging lessons in agricultural studies, environmental science, and sustainability. This role offers a unique chance to work with young learners, including those with special educational needs (SEN), helping them explore and understand the natural world.
Role Overview:
As an Agricultural Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students in classroom settings, focusing on topics like sustainable practices, food production, ecology, and environmental science.
- Assist with a range of practical and theoretical lessons, adapting activities to suit different learning needs, including for students with SEN.
- Provide individualized support to students, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to bring agricultural and environmental education to life.
What We’re Looking For:
- Interest in Agriculture and the Environment: A passion for subjects like ecology, sustainability, and environmental science, and the ability to inspire young learners.
- Experience with SEN (Desirable): Patience and adaptability to support children with SEN and tailor lessons to meet their needs.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with and motivate students of all abilities.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with teachers, SEN specialists, and other support staff.
- Enhanced DBS Check: Required for this role (Teaching Personnel can assist with this process).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
