SCHOOL ADMIN ASSISTANT
Permanent | Full Time | Term Time Only
Salary: £25,186 – £26,244 FTE
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and organised Admin Assistant to join a busy and supportive school administration team. This is a varied role that supports the day-to-day operation of the school and contributes to creating a positive experience for pupils, families, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will be professional, approachable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of administration.

Main Responsibilities
Reception and Customer Service
• Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and external enquiries
• Respond to routine requests and direct enquiries appropriately
• Support the efficient running of reception and office services
• Assist with communications, post, supplies and hospitality arrangements
Administration and Operational Support
• Complete a range of administrative processes and maintain accurate records
• Prepare and process routine documents and correspondence
• Support staffing administration and daily operational arrangements
• Maintain pupil and staff records using school information systems
• Manage confidential information carefully and accurately
• Support financial administration and basic transaction recording where required
Team Support
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
• Contribute positively to team objectives and shared outcomes
• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing where appropriate
Pupil Welfare
• Provide welfare support and basic first aid where required
• Support medication administration in accordance with procedures and training

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confidence using computer systems and standard office software
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• A professional and positive approach to customer service
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people
• Flexibility and willingness to contribute to wider school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
