Ad-Hoc Educational Health Care Assistants needed

Teaching Personnel are recruiting compassionate, reliable and proactive Educational Health Care Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of specialist schools in the Preston area. This is a flexible ad-hoc role, ideal for individuals seeking varied experience, part-time work, or opportunities to develop their skills within education and health-care settings.

About the Role:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, complex medical needs and physical disabilities.

  • Provide hands-on care, including personal care and mobility support where required.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to promote student wellbeing, independence and engagement.

  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

  • Follow EHCP targets and adapt support to meet individual needs.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience in care, SEN, youth work, residential support or health-care settings.

  • A calm, nurturing and patient approach.

  • The ability to work flexibly at short notice.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A willingness to assist with personal care.

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
